Content Strategist


The content strategist is responsible for the successful development and implementation of strategies pertinent to the management of diverse content throughout Medical Joyworks. Our content needs encompass products and services, customer support and internal operations. Therefore, the content strategist must understand our multiple target audiences, including our team, customers, organizational clients, suppliers and partners.

As a content strategist, you will report to MJ's chief operating officer. You must also be obsessed with quality, as quality is vital to us. Our work consists of presenting up-to-date medical content for use by practitioners everywhere. Therefore, everything we create must be understandable, highly accurate and flawless; and to do this, we must continuously improve everything we do.

What you will do

  • Plan, write and edit content for various commercial and operational requirements.
  • Create and update content, and recommend strategies to make content more effective.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze content effectiveness metrics.
  • Manage content marketing campaigns and actions, including optimization drives.
  • Design, implement and manage quality control programs for content production needs.
  • Support our chief editor and the MJ operations team to meet content production targets.
  • Help out wherever a spare hand might be needed.


  • At least 4 years in a senior role within a reputable digital or print publishing operation.
  • Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism or marketing.
  • Exceptional communication and project management abilities.
  • Keen sense and attention for detail.
  • Excellent command of the English language (CEFR level C2; proof of language proficiency may be required).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in research, analysis, and decision-making related roles.

  • Be a multi-tasker: juggle many projects at once under steady deadline pressure.

Your work setup

We operate as a distributed company, so everyone has the flexibility and freedom to work from anywhere so long as the work gets done. Hours are flexible, but you must be available for chats and calls within your geography’s normal weekly office hours (9am to 5pm).
